Why my tabs button on chrome disappeared?

[Android Central Question]

Hi, I have Huawei Matepad 11, my Chrome had a button near the the favourite and download buttons that had the number of open tabs and can click on it and will show me all of them in miniature form. It disappeared suddenly and can't find anything in the settings help please

EDIT: I just checked my Galaxy Tab A7 lite -- it looks like a recent update to Chrome on Android tablets has made it more like Chrome on a laptop -- so instead of a tab management button, you should instead see individual tabs along the top of the screen that you can select or exit out of by tapping the X. It must be part of Google's initiative to make their apps more suited to tablet UIs.

Does Chrome come on the device or download from a source? Any updates to chrome?
