I have the SG S3... why do I not have the Update yet? It's been 2 weeks.

I was told it was going to be pushed out over 3 weeks. You may have another week to wait. If you haven't received it by then, you can see if the Sprint store can do it for you.

Or you can do as the others have suggested.

After install, can I delete the zip file off from my sd card?

There is no use for the file. Yes, it is safe to delete.

Sprint keeps trying to shove it down my throat. i don't want it, too many problems and no customer service if your phone loses functionality or battery life goes down the drain.

You're not obligated to update your phone. You can skip an update if you choose. However, when the next update is released (4.2?), you will have to do 4.1.1 before you can download the next one. By the way, I have always had good customer support from Sprint.
