Have you ever not known if an email wasn't sent? Trust it was sent. ..

I have only "not known" if an e-mail was sent until I got this device, all other devices and my computer have one way or another to show a progress bar or play a tone. No tone, e-mail is not sending because of bad connection. Please don't tell me there is no way for this phone to confirm an e-mail was sent and that the connection was good, especially in fringe areas...

I'm interested in this, would be nice to have a confirmation sound when an SMS has been sent as well...

It seems to take a while to send an SMS, I'd rather be able to leave the messaging screen and carry on with other stuff instead of having to wait for it so I can actually be sure it was sent. And yes there are times when the connection is bad and SMS just doesn't get sent! And it's a bit annoying to look at your phone an hour later wondering why you don't have a response, only to see that your message wasn't sent!

I'm going to look into this and a few other "notification" type issues and will post back if I find any solutions.

I use Google talk instead of SMS. Hardly ever do I have a message not send. I use Verizon. Coverage is great just about everywhere in 8 states that I've been to with verizon phones.

using apps other than SMS will allow you to see if the message was sent...just saying!

If you use the native email client, then when an emai l sends you'll see a notification on the top left corner that will say SENT and the email subject

AND when there IS a problem, it says something about saving as a draft.

Just looked up Tasker... WOW.

If that can't fix up your notifications requirements I don't know what will, I'm checking it out. Cheers.
