Why will my stock alarm not display on screen or snooze on droid mini?

I set my alarm and when it goes off, at its predesignated time, there is no alarm display on the screen and I cannot snooze it. The only option is shut it off by opening up the clock app and turning off the alarm from there.

Wipe app data via application manager and test it out. If still no go, wipe all app cache via setting > system > storage > cached data.

Worst case, try a third-party app.
