Why won't any blue light filter apps work on my Samsung Galaxy A5 2016

I have what seems to a frequent issue of Samsung Galaxy A5 screen flickering on low brightness. I've tried the fixes and they don't work and no blue light apps work on my phone neither does opera mini night mode. I think the two are possibly related. I've already done a hard reset on the phone. Urgent need help

You do realize that a "blue filter" is nothing more than turning the white parts of the screen slightly yellow, right? (That's optics 101.)
