Why won't it give me the android 8.0 update

I have a galaxy s7 sm-g930v runing 7.0 with June security patch, every time I click check for system updates it says your phone is up to date. Please help.

Bring it into a Verizon company store. Evidently it's not rooted or it wouldn't get security updates over the air. It's long past the time to have gotten 8.0. They can install the update manually if they want to be nice.
