Why wont my alcatel one touch t mobile keypad show at all

When i turn on my phone the keyboard is completely gone and i have a password on my phone to get in but its not working i tried everything

Welcome to Android Central! So you're seeing the password entry field on the lockscreen, but when you tap it, the keyboard doesn't appear? Just want to make sure that you're not actually stuck on an initial lockscreen that requires you to swipe up in order to get to the password entry screen.
