Why won't my fitbit pair with my phone since it updated to android 7?

Since I upgraded to android 7, my fitbit charge 2 won't pair with my Samsung galaxy j5 prime anymore. Everything was fine before the update. More specifically, I don't receive notifications from my phone to my fitbit anymore. I believe it had something to do with the way Bluetooth works in android 7. Will this be fixed?
