AC Question

My Galaxy S6 won't connect to our 2G network.

I upgraded from an S4 to an S6. I live in a very rural part of Alaska. My data worked for my S4 here but not for my S6. I did not realize this till I got back to my town. I tried taking out my sim card and reinserting it and I also looked for more networks and none come up. Until I am back to the city which will be weeks away I am stuck. What can I do? Does Samsung support 2G networks anymore?

All phones support 2G (and probably will for years). Your phone could have a defective SIM port. (If you still have the S4, or if someone else has a phone using the same carrier and the same size SIM card, you could try putting your SIM card in their phone to eliminate the card as a problem, and their card in your phone to eliminate the phone as a problem (or point to it as the problem). (I assume you cut the S4 SIM, or got a new one. Either could lead to a defective SIM.)
