Why won't my HTC Desire 816 turn on?

[AC Question]

I was using it as per usual when suddenly it froze and turned off. I let it cool down because I thought it was overheating but it still didn't turn on. I tried pressing the power and volume buttons but it didn't work either. I tried connecting it to my PC but the PC didn't recognise it. What can I do?

It sounds like battery failure or some internal failure.

Have you figured out what the problem was? My HTC just did the same thing.
