Why won't my Mac recognize my P8lite?

Mac won't recognise P8lite

My Macbook Pro won't pick up my P8lite when I connect it via USB. I have downloaded android transfer file and also turned debugging on as advised on other forums. When I plug it in it's charging but I don't get any option to 'charge' or use as 'storage' in the notifications.

Any help would be great.

On the notification pull down, do you see an option to change to mtp?

No. There isn't anything in the notifications pull-down.

you have to instal drivers
