Why won't my phone accept my new password?

I made a new password recently. And now I can't accses my phone. Well, I can actually. It only takes me about 30-35 tries every time to open the lockscreen. Yes, every time I want to use my phone. And I did try to change my password again. Settings won't let me change it until I can type in my current one. And when I try to type in my current password? It just says "Sorry, try again". I also tried turning the phone on and off again. Multiple times. I even took the battery out and put it back in. I tried hacking into my phone through the emergency call feature. Also, I can't type in my backup PIN. And yes, I made sure to spell it correctly. What haven't I tried?! I need help. And please answer ASAP.
