Why won't my phone do anything?

I have a galaxy S4. Yesterday it froze I did everything the manual said to do. I did a HARD RESET this morning and it was unsuccessful. As of this moment it vibrates when pushing the power button....and then a black screen. Hit and miss I will get a Logo screen and it freezes there. battery gets really hot and I have to again remove the battery. If you can shed some light or otherwise have any other suggestions other than just replacing the phone please contact me. thank you
