Why wont my phone download youtube

My phone wont let me download YouTube and I tried restarting it and cleared some of my storage

Are you getting any errors? Can you download any other apps? Do you live in a region where Google services are blocked? Remember, to install an app, as a rule of thumb, you need roughly twice as much free space in your internal memory as the app size you're trying to install.

Also - what OS version is the device running? Older versions are no longer supported after a while.
