Phone won't stop connecting to open wifi networks
I need some help on this one... Beginning a few weeks ago, I noticed that my phone keeps auto-connecting to open wifi networks. Most frequently, the ever annoying xfinitywifi (I am not a home Comcast customer). But what's really freaking me out is:
1. I have Network Notification and Scanning Always Available disabled, yet my phone keeps automatically turning wifi on when I'm within range of these open networks.
2. I don't seem to need to manually "sign-on" and "agree" to these networks. Example, 10 minutes ago I noticed that my phone turned wifi on (I had/have a strong data signal), jumped onto an xfinitywifi and started downloading updates and podcasts, with no intervention by me.
3. No matter how many times I try to "Forget" these networks, my phone keeps signing onto them.
4. Since the problem started I made no significant changes to my phone other than downloading (and deleting unused) apps.
How do I stop this?
