Android Central Question

I bought my galaxy s8 three months ago, and I have not had any problems with it so far. However, a couple days ago, I was charging my phone and fell asleep before it had finished charging. Thus, it was charging the whole night. The next morning I saw that my phone had turned off, and when I tried turning it on, I could not get it to start back up again. Yes, I've tried charging it (literally the first thing I did). I've tried holding the power button, the volume down button, the volume up bottom, and literally any guide on the internet has said to do. I've put it in a bag of rice in case the humidity magically pooled on the inside of my phone, but literally nothing has worked. I'm assuming a cable or some circuit burnt out. Does anyone else have any other ideas? Or any idea how much it would cost to fix it?

Welcome to Android Central! How long did you press and hold the Power button for? Make sure you kept it down for about 20-30 seconds (which is longer than you think).

If that doesn't work, then bring it to the store where you bought it, and see if they'll give you a replacement. If not, then contact Samsung for warranty repair/replacement, assuming it's covered by warranty.
