Why wont my phone turn on when i hold down the button if it is charged?

So my phone wont turn on if it is fully charged and it wont work if i hold down the button and if i plug it in i will show the % number but it wont turn on. I really need help so please respond.

You could try flood-cleaning the Power button with alcohol.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? How old is it? How long are you holding the Power button for? Make sure you hold it down for at least 20 seconds.

What battery percentage number it says when you have it plugged in ?
