Why won't my phone turn on?

It dosen't even turn on....just a black screen.

I have a phone that came from my sister's bf. It won't show anything whatsoever. It hasn't lit up once. When I charge it, (fully) it only vibrates and makes a boot-up sound and rarely shows the led notification. Please help. Is it the digitizer or something. I also tried holding down the three buttons, and taking the battery out while draining the phone....I'm too poor to buy a new phone. The phone also has two cracks one in the inside of the glass and one on the outside.

Welcome to Android Central! The screen sounds like it's damaged. It would have to be replaced.

bad power button? i had to remove mine.

I doubt it's a bad power button, because the OP says that the phone vibrates and makes sounds, but that the screen never turns on. So the power button is clearly turning the phone on--it's just that the screen isn't functioning.

Your phone's LCD is damaged....
