why wont my Samsung Galaxy s4 let me view message?

A few days ago I bought a Samsung Galaxy s4 and it was working fine but since this morning, every time I try to view any of my texts the screen goes back to the home menu and a note comes up saying "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped" and I don't know why. Please help!!!:'(

I've just removed it from my home screen and re-added it again. Worked again for me.

I actually use Launcher Pro and have messaging in my dock and it never stops working
for me like that.

Sorry. Just realized my mistake. I removed the messaging app from my home
screen and re-added it.
