why wont my samsung galaxy s4 min iturn on

i turn it off so i can go to school when i turned it on again the screen was brightness was low then when i checked it again it was off and i couldn't turn on again i hope its just out of battery but i charged it in the morning and it was at 100% please help

It could be anything. Let's do some basics to determine what we're working with... If you believe it's off, possibly due to a dead battery, let's plug it in. Most devices will display a battery icon with a percentage when plugged in while off. Even if they do not the LED should light. My concern is that your backlight has died. You're screen gets brighter the brighter it is outside. If your backlight has failed it may appear very dim in a lighted indoor setting, and may give the impression the device is off in an outdoor full sunshine condition. Plus plugging it in will tell you if you just have a dead battery.
