Why won't my Samsung Galaxy s6 edge charge?

I have been having problems with my charger for awhile now. I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge and I only used the original charger they gave me until it started not working. (Now I use a Motorola charger, and it works fine.) I started having problems when my phone would take 8+ hours to reach full battery. There is a fast charging feature but often times my phone would start to overheat and it stopped working. Now when I try to charge my phone using that charger, it only drains the power, its losing more power than not charging it at all. I noticed this when I charged my phone at night, at that time there was 38% power, and when I woke up there was only 8% left.
I'm just wondering what is wrong with my charger and should I get a new one or is this fixable?

If the Verizon Charger works fine, sounds like it is a charger issue. They are pretty cheap on ebay. That's where I got my Extras.
