Why won't my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.7.0 turn on or charge?

So i've had this tablet for a couple years and lately its been dying really fast and now it wont turn on and it wont charge. Whats wrong because I have really important stuff on there

Chances are that the battery has failed. Batteries don't last forever, and their lifespan can be shortened based on usage patterns (e.g., if it is drained to zero or close to it on a frequent basis). You should probably bring it to a repair shop and get the battery replaced. You could probably replace it yourself as well--check out YouTube for DIY videos.
