Why won't my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 mirror display on my TV.?

I recently bought a Samsung S5 Phone and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Tablet. I also bought a Samsung HDMI adapter. I can mirror my phone OK, no problems but not my tablet. I have tried plugging in the HDMI cable last. I have used the Samsung charging cable to power the adapter. Even when I enable screen mirroring and the HDMI cable is plugged in the tablet scans looking for another device but comes up with '' No device found

Welcome to Android Central! If you're trying to use an MHL adapter, it won't work on the Tab 4, which doesn't support MHL.
