Why won't my samsung s8 update from unknown sources

I have an app on my phone that say install update now I click on update it then says downloading up date please wait but it does NOT update

Not updating can be due to a lot of different things. If you didn't get it from Play, the server it was on may no longer exist. the developer may not have developed an update.

If it says "can not update from unknown sources" (or words to that effect), that's in Settings. Go into Settings, type "unknown" into the search box (without the quotes) and you'll get to the right place. (If it's a text page, look for unknown, go there, and give that app permission to install fron unknown sources.)
