Tablet won't bluetooth connect

My Galaxy 2 10.1 will pair with a new Samsung Bluetooth smart keyboard however after connecting once it will not reconnect again unless I do a factory reset.

Each time I do a factory reset it operates fine. I then turn the key board off after using it for sometime then the tablet remains paired but will not reconnect.

I can pair and operate the Keyboard with my S4 phone and my smart TV just not my 10.1 tablet.

I have spoken to Samsung and tried all the obvious things, anyone had this problem>

Re: Tablet won't bluetooth connect

I'm not a great help here, but we see this problem with one of our test devices also (we make games). try as we might our galaxy 2 tablet won't pair with some of our other devices for bluetooth multiplayer. some work, some don't - and I wasn't able to find any clue to why that is.

funny thing: sometimes if we start a connection on another phone, the tablet will pair with it. but if we initiate bluetooth multiplayer on the tablet it won't work. gives us bad reviews. :(

Re: Tablet won't bluetooth connect

I am having what I think is the same problem, but slightly different configuration.

Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" with CyanogenMod kernel 3.0.31-CM-gac1803e
LG G3 stock (same thing was happening with my rooted LG G2 before I upgraded)

I have used the Tablet Talk (app) for years as a way to text via Bluetooth keyboard through my phone both before the CM ROM was installed as well as after. However, it only worked a few times after CM was installed. The tablet and phone pair without issue, but I cannot initiate a connection from the tablet to the phone at all. And when I initiate it from the phone, it shows "Connected" for a split second (on the phone) and then it's not (the phone's red LED blinks once). At the moment this happens, the tablet's listing for the phone blinks once. So the two are communicating this need to connect, but it's not sticking. All the while this is going on, I have my Logitech Keyboard Case connected via Bluetooth to the tablet and it continues to work. So there's something about connecting to the paired cell phone that's not working.

Any ideas, tricks, things to try? Being that I have a CM ROM in there, doing a factory data reset would not appear to be an option. I am leaning toward it being an issue with the CM ROM since it worked (as I said) for years prior to re-ROMming the tablet.

As always, I appreciate any insight, knowledge, and/or assistance anyone is willing to offer. And thanks in advance!

Bruce

Not sure but if you are running Lollipop 5.0.2 look at the forum about Bluetooth issues After 5.0.2

Re: Tablet won't bluetooth connect

This version of CyanogenMod is Jelly Bean. There isn't anything newer for the Tab 2, unfortunately.
