Why won't my tablet download music?

I set it so it downloads to the micro SD card, but whenever I try to download something, it stays at 0% for a while then gives up without notifying me. What do I do? This tablet has another problem too but I choose to ignore it because this was a replacement for another Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 that had the same exact problem. Do I have a lemon or something?
