Why won't my unlocked phone work with my Verizon wireless Sim card

My unlocked Alcatel phone won't work with the Verizon Sim card. When I try to log in to Verizon wireless network it says that I already active so wh can't I get internet and make calls or texts

Welcome to Android Central! Have you asked Verizon about this? Verizon tends to be picky about phones it approves for its network.
