Why won't the Galaxy 5s spell check?

[AC Question]

I can type "5ake" instead of "take" and it will keep it as 5ake, which is not a word in any language! It's driving me insane. I have predictive text turned on.

Try going into your keyboard settings and clearing the personal dictionary. That could have accidentally been saved to your dictionary.
