Why won't the settings for "daydream" apply when I change them?

I have an HTC One and, well, I've had a lot of issues with it. This isn't much of a problem, but it's really annoying. I tried changing the settings on the daydream function on my phone (turning off that zooming thing, adding more pictures, etc), but they won't change no matter what I do. It says they've changed on my settings, but when I'm charging my phone, nothing's different. If anyone has any advice, it would be appreciated.
