My Tp-link Deco be-95 can't hit anywhere near Wifi 7 speeds or even Wifi 6e speeds. My Rog phone 7 actually supports wifi 7 and I can only transfer off my NAS at 60MB/s. My desktop is plugged into the 2nd 10GBe port on the Deco and can copy off my NAS at 1GB/s. Curiously the wireless is actually downloading over the internet faster than over my local network.
At these prices, it may be cheaper the install network jacks for your intense internet needs for devices (like consoles, TV's and Gaming PC's). Because, honestly how many people are going to upgrade at these prices, when less than 10% of the wireless devices they own take advantage of this newer technology?
There is no way these routers are that much more expensive to make. I believe too many companies are trying to ride the "inflation is real" news cycle to raise prices when there isn't any meaningful cost increase to them. Their costs to manufacture increase maybe 8-10%, so they raise the product price 450%. It's just price gouging. (Looking at you Nvidia)
