i have a le geon that was originally bought via Metro Pcs, I recently quit using Metro and figure for the time being i could use it as a wi-fi only phone but it will not alllow me to use wi fi calling nor send any messages any thoughts or suggestions would be great. thanks

Wi-fi calling requires a wireless plan. You could set up a Google Voice number to call over wi-fi (using Hangouts Dialer).
