Really hope someone can help with this as it is driving me insane!
Whenever I approach/leave a wi-fi 'zone' for example i pull up outside my house or pass a McDonalds restaurant, my phone gives me a text notification saying "wi-fi is available/not available" and also plays a sound which is my default tone for messaging. Now the notification I can put up with, as i can just clear it at a later time, but the fact that it plays a sound is REALLY annoying, as I will be out somewhere and hear my text tone, dig around in my bag for my phone, only to find it was just telling me there's wi-fi nearby!!!
I have done what I thought was the obvious thing which is to untick the box in advanced settings which says "notify me when an open network is available" but this has made no difference whatsoever! So i am hoping someone might know how i can turn off the sound at least, if not both! Maybe it is just a simple setting i've missed but I am really at a loss! Thanks
