wi-fi scanning

Under my wi-fi advanced settings the option is given to "always allow devicde to scan for wi fi "/do i want this on or off? Thanks!

So in short...the scanning process constantly bei g on does nothing more than drain my battery? Did I get that right?

It really depends on whatever you are constantly using your phone on the internet then your would like that option ON otherwise turn that OFF.

I'm constantly on the Internet and I've never had this option on, and I've never had any issues because of it.
