Wi-Fi Tether after Root, having issues, anyone?

I successfully rooted my GN2 with the purpose of running "WiFi Tether for Root Users". I used this phone quite well on my GSIII but have now moved to the GNII.

Has anyone had any luck with this program? I tried the Automatic profile and a few others but the SSID is simply not showing up on my other devices when searching for a WiFi source.

TIA.

From all of the reading I've done, free WiFi tether is a no-go on any phone running Jelly Bean. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.
That is the only thing I miss about my previous phone...

Does that include the models that are rooted? I know my GSIII would not take advantage of any of the programs that allegedly allowed tethering, however, upon being rooted, "WiFi for Root Users" worked like a charm. I would hate to hear that the GNII doesn't follow suite!

I'm not saying you're wrong and I don't know from personal experience being ICS myself, but the developer's page for the app states that it does support Jellybean firmwares. Just ensure you Change Setup-Method in Settings from Auto to Netd-Ndc and Change Device-Profile to Generic ICS/JB. Those are the main ones you need to change to work on Jellybean. Also recommend ticking MSS clamping and Routing fix. Your mileage may vary with the last two Settings changes as I have an HTC Evo 4G, and sometimes with Android different devices may work and others... well, don't. Good luck!

Umm ok
Jellybean 4.1.2
Note ii
I wifi teather every day
Im doing it right now to my galaxy tab
Wifi teahther for root users didnt work for me.
I use the system tether cuz I am rooted on an import rom for the tmo note ii

If ur on stock use wifi toggle widget
Use foxfi to change the settings but not to turn on and off

Use apn bakcup and restore.
Copy ur apn down by hand first in mobile settings
Now u need root to do this
Once rooted install titanium backup
Now instal apn bnr
Now open apn bnr
Close
Open titanium, make system app of apn bnr
Open bnr, disable ics check
Close
Open apn bnr
Backup apns
Deleat apns
Now go manualy enter urs again
Back that up, should be just one now
You habe now deleated the tether blocking apn that I know is on tmo for instance

I had rooted my sgn2 sprint and barely able to use wifi for root app now on tmobile root and have been blocked by tmobile from tethering or 3rd party hotspot on foxfi and any other app. Smh is there something anything I can do to work around this. Also I am using:

Tmobile Samsung galaxy note 2
