Photo and video it comes in extremely handy. Especially in close quarters like when taking pictures of the interior of a car or a house. Outside, you get shots of scenery that are hard to achieve to fit in frame outdoors. I use the wide angle about half of the time on my V20.

Landscape photography all day! You really can get some amazing shots with it. Also if you're ever in a tight spot and need to take a group picture and literally can't back up far enough to get everybody in the frame, the wide angle is your best friend. Otherwise just for creativity. Here's a few wide angle shots from my V20.

^^ Yep, you become the star of the dinner party when everyone is trying to do a group shot. I end up having to sending them all the final pictures that could only get everyone in the shot.
Oh, but my favorite, is just outdoors traveling. Landscapes, at the beach, mountains, they all look better.

Imagine you're a tourist in a foreign town and want to take a photo of a beautiful building or inside a church. I can never move far away to get the whole thing on the picture, but with a wide angle camera it's possible.

I work in marketing and need to capture event photos. I can easily take candid photos of people doing stuff (creeper status, I know). Since it's wide angle, I can snap a quick photo without having to step back 10 feet to capture it all, just like my own point of view. Also, taking landscape photos, nature scenery, and large objects such as tall buildings and signs. You have a huge advantage over friends without one. You phone will be the one to take group photos the best. No need for a GoPro anymore, water-resistant, has wide angle, and can shoot cinematic UHD video.

All about perspective...
Took some video last night of a local band playing a bar. Was in the front row and used wide angle for video footage. I was blown away by the quality - mostly the stabilization hardware and the compounded effect with wide angle. Wide angle simply comes closer to your actual peripheral vision and capturing "what you see" with your own eyes.
Neat feature: default zoom with main cam shows you can still back out - when you do, it auto switches to the wide angle cam - you dont have to select it.

I think you can just get more unique pictures that would not be possible on any other smartphone. Just have to use your imagination and creativity when you are out and about.
