I am using the stock, HTC time widget with weather. The issue is that the weather is not updating automatically whenever I drive to a new city. I have to click on the weather part of the clock and it updates. I also cannot add some cities (I can only add major metropolitan areas).

I have my gps on and have tried all the differnt combinations between VZW, Standalone and google and I still cannot add smaller cities.

This brings up another question...what do you have turned on. All three, only one, two, and why?

Try deleting the widget then readdding it.
Or tap the weather, then the menu button, settings, check the box that says "monitor my location more closely" and set the update to every hour.

As far as what three I keep on, I stick with googles location (makes finding stuff like restaurants easier when I travel which is a lot) and the stand alone GPS. Its only a battery killer when its actively navigating. I don't use Verizon's services because, well, I just don't see a need to. If they want my data for market research they can call me and get hung up on like all the other telemarketers.

Also the app is limited in the cities it will be able to show, its not exactly a comprehensive atlas of the world.

This is the main reason I picked up beautiful widgets when it was .10cents in the play store. Not only is it better with the weather and location, you have lots of customizable options.

At least it doesn't show that you're in FT Collins, while you actually live in Memphis and are currently in Memphis.
