Here is a noob question, is there any way to remove the label of the widget on the home screen?

Do you mean the name of the widget that also shows up on the icons also

There should be an option in the widgets setting. I kno that Handcent has that option. What widget are you using

Maybe I'm using the wrong term I mean the label for the app icon like the word market for the market app.is there a way to do away with that

Those aren't widgets, they are just shortcuts. Launcher Pro has the option to remove all of them. If you just want to remove some, but not all, I think the way to do it is to longpress on the home screen, select "shortcut", choose which app you want to make a shortcut for, (like the market), then when the "name" window pops up just delete the name, (like Market), so it's blank, and hit OK. Not sure if this works with the stock launcher, but works with Launcher Pro.

AH HAH. Thank you guys. That was exactly what I was looking for. I love the ability to further customize this phone to the way I want it.
