Widget Removal

Hold your finger on the widget for 3 seconds...drag it down to the trash bin. I did the same to any widget that needs self updating constantly. Any news and weather i get, i just open the app and organize my screens so each section has a purpose so its not like one second extra is inconvenient. Only widgets that I have that should be fine is the analog clock on one screen..and a digital clock and calender combo with a post-it widget on my news and organization section. These things mirror notes, date and time, and aren't like the constant data pulling batt sucking leech widgets.

Hmm...that's strange. Are you doing it to the actual widget which looks more like a display panel or are you thinking a widget is actually one of the square apps on the main page? Assuming you're choosing the correct thing, you have to hold it directly over the trash bin until the entire widget turns and fills with red. The only things that come back after trying to delete them are the square apps on the launcher page (you get there by pressing that tringle arrow on your first screen.) Those aren't widgets and don't self update but can be uninstalled via applications in settings unless they are apps that came with the phone, but again....they aren't active anyway. Widgets are usually rectangular displays. Check
to see if you are holding them over the bin till they turn completely red.
