I would like to put/install widgets in my App folder (to save room on home screen). Anyone know a way to do this?

Widgets don't work that way. They're meant to be installed on a home screen.

Certain apps give you the option of adding a widget-like notification in the notification drop-down shade, but it may not be as fully functional as the actual widget on the homescreen.

If, like Windows, the home screen (desktop) is also a folder, then technically this should be possible, (although I'd rather not root to do it).

Like B. Diddy said, it cannot be done. You cannot put a widget into a folder. They are designed to be placed on a home screen and display data.

And if you don't need to see the data all the time, just put a regular app icon in the drawer instead of a widget.
