I use a note 3 and my wife who has never had a smart phone before is now using my old Galaxy S4. To start with, I am not concerned about any privacy issues at all. I do have some questions though.

Since the phone was originally mine, I am worried if she deletes a contact or an app, will it then delete the contact or app on my phones as well? How do I set something up to back up her contacts that wont interfere with my back ups? If I back up her contacts, and then need to restore my contacts, will end up with hers? Can I make some type of sub account under the play store? I would rather have everything under my account because my wife has no computer knowledge at all. She doesnt even send text messages, but would like to learn. I will be responsible for all back ups and maintenance.

Thanks for any help

Factory reset the S4 to take all of your account information off the phone and have her sign in with her own gmail account so you don't have to worry about her contacts being merged with yours.

1. Create a Google (gmail) account for her at Google's site, if she doesn't already have one.

2. enter that account into the Google (not gmail) accounts as a new Google account in her phone.

3. Delete your Google account on her phone.

Now your contacts have nothing to do with her contacts, any more than they do with my contacts. They're on her account.

(All your apps on her phone are now not "on her phone" either.)

She can still set up the gmail account to be the same as yours, or have yours and hers on her phone at the same time (I have 6 email accounts on my phone - but only 1 Google account).
