Wife's new epic came with EB13

Ordered an Epic for the wife through sprint.com. It came with EB13 installed.

I take it it did not come with any of the standard bugs:

1) Camera lag
2) Slow screen rotation
3) text messages mixed into your call logs

I too just got a Samsung Epic 4G with EB13 installed, no camera lag, no mixed text messages, and not sure about slow screen rotation, but so far it's working great.

I would assume the same as how my Epic with EB13 installed has no bugs....

From what I understand, there were issues via the OTA update but updates via the micro-b cable is fine? Not so sure, also a rep told me some phones were preloaded with EB13 and sent to stores when the update was released so you'd just have to be lucky to go to a sprint store who's gotten new shipments.

Mine came with the 2.2 as well and I am having the issues with the camera shutting down in sports mode and the call log as well. This sucks

I tried to update via the cable and .zip file neither one works fine,they both have the same fc issues that's why I'm running a custom rom. The only time I'll go back to stock is when they update to Gingerbread, then again maybe I'll wait for a custom rom of that too

I got mine on Thursday. Im about to return this phone because its a pain in the *** I had the 2.1 on the first phone I got on Monday but had to return it cuz I dropped it and it messed up. They gave me the new one with 2.2 and it sucks

I just picked one up at Sprint in Dallas yesterday and has 2.2.1 loaded. So far so good. But then again, I'm not an expert on these devices like some here. Should I be aware of anything in particular?

Mine is coming through amazonwireless.com I got a good deal for $129 for it. Kind of wondering what version of the software will be on it when it arrives tomorrow.

I had 2.2 on mine and sent it in for repair (speaker was blown), it came back with 2.1. This was just last monday 3/7.

Mine updated OTA - and it's been buggy ever since.
- shuts down randomly, but especially when it gets down to 25 or 15% remaining. It warns me, then shuts down. I have to turn it back on to use it for awhile longer. Annoying.
- calls logs are all jacked up with text messaging in there.
- a lot of force closes
- battery life went down

I'm so glad they sent me a buggy update!

My girlfriend bought the epic online at radioshack.com, it came with eclair, works better than mine.

My son lost his phone and I got it replaced through Assurion. The first one they sent was of course a refurb that was screwed up. The light sensor didn't work, so I called and gripped about not getting a "new" phone for the new one I lost - They agreeded and sent me a brand new Epic loaded with 2.2 on it already. It's great and no issues what so ever with it. Dare I say it's apps are a little better than my new EVO. (flashlight rocks on Epic, not so much on my EVO) LOL
