WiFi and 4G icons visible with Verizon Moto X?

I just noticed that when I'm on WiFi, the 4G notification icon is still visible although grayed out. I'm new to this phone and I'm not sure if this was like this all the time and I'm just now noticing. I saw the same thing on my S3 when Verizon pushed out an update with Caller Name ID in it (what a scam, btw). My Verizon Moto X had the same sh!tty app pre-installed so I disabled it but seeing both icons in the notification bar has me wondering if it's still hanging around.

Any other Verizon Moto X users seeing something like this?

That's normal. It has nothing to do with Caller Name ID.

Thanks, uv. I was also tinkering with Chainfire's "Hotspot Control" (which doesn't seem to work on the Moto X, btw) when I noticed this and was wondering if I put my phone's WiFi and mobile data indicators into a wierd state.

It's the new Kitkat way of saying "I'm using wifi for data but LTE is there if I lose wifi or a call comes in"
