Is anybody experiencing problems with wifi calling? As of yesterday my voice sounds garbled up. People on the other end can hardly make out what I am saying. I heard it myself on a voicemail I left. Any thoughts?

Yes. I have a Note 5 and an S6 and I've had nothing but dropped calls when on WiFi. It most frequently happens when trying to switch from cell to WiFi. It also has a tendency to not ring when only on a WiFi signal. It doesn't always make calls when only on WiFi. Texts are intermittently recieved or sent. This happens on my WiFi at home and the WiFi at work. Overall, I am horribly disappointed with Verizon's attempt at WiFi calling. My kids have better WiFi calling on their 2013 Nexus 7 using the Hangouts Dialer! Honestly, I'm actually surprised when I am able to successfully make a WiFi call!

Have you made sure to turn off the Video Call setting in your Advanced Calling settings? Wifi calling doesn't work well (if at all) with that enabled.

Just the Video calling or the entire advanced calling? It seems strange that i would have to turn off video calling to have WiFi work. If I have to choose between WiFi calling and HD calling, that's crap. I should be able to do both. Just seems to me like Verizon rolled this one out for us to beta test it.

Nope. I've turned off just the video portion and I've turned off all advanced calling. Makes no difference. Calls still dropping within 5-10 seconds of me answering. If I turn off WiFi calling, it works just fine. I think this is something I'm just going to have to wait for Big Red to fix this one.

Just so I understand, with WiFi Calling turned off, you don't have any issues with dropping calls? If that's the case then you really don't need Wifi calling. It's mainly useful for those that have issues maintaining a stable signal inside their home....kind of like the Network Extender, except without the extra piece of equipment. There's no other real benefit to it if you aren't having calling issues in your home.

That's the problem...I DO have a problem with calls dropping in my home. I have no signal in 1/2 of downstairs of home. Upstairs is fine. At work, there are areas that have no cell, but do have WiFi. Regardless of signal quality in home, if WiFi calling is on it should work. Especially at work, it would be nice to phone/text in the areas without cell coverage. Somewhat important for my job.

For now I'm keeping WiFi calling off. Avoiding 1/2 of downstairs. Missing calls/texts when in holes at work. And waiting for fix from Big Red...

Wifi calling has been and is still working very well on my G4...way better quality than my extender.

May just be a Samsung thing. I've been having problems with my Note 5 and the wife has problems with her S6. We've been keeping it turned off for the most part. I trial it every once in a while to see if it's working any better.

Wifi calling on my Galaxy S7 is buggy and rarely works properly. A Verizon tech told me today that he saw in some internal Verizon tech forum that there is a recognized problem with wifi calling on the S7. He opened a ticket to have a senior tech try to resolve the problem.

Latest update for my Note 5 fixed the WiFi calling issues. Now big red just needs to push out an update for the S6...
