My new office has HORRIBLE connection, so I use Wifi calling whenever I'm inside. Typically I BARELY have enough bars to make/receive calls without moving to a windows. Mobile data is simply out of the question

I noticed in my notifications, that Wifi calling is CONSTANTLY asking me to confirm my location even literally seconds after I last confirmed it. I haven't moved at all, I'm in the same location, we only have one wifi router (zero repeaters) so why is it continuously asking me to confirm my location???

This could possibly be due to an option in wifi settings. When you're in wifi settings press the menu button next to the on/off switch and go to advanced. There will be a selection "always allow scanning". Is this checked? Try unchecking the box and see if it persists. Hope that does it.

Is this Sprint?

Sent from my T-Mobile Note 3 using AC Forums.

Same for me. I disabled scanning and I still get the notification about updating the profile address. It's asking if I would like to update but it's not actually saying I NEED to update. I wonder if it's just a "courtesy" thing? Annoying nonetheless.

Yes Sprint.
And yes tried a variety of wifi settings and still the problem is there. And yes, it's a nuisance more than anything else.

It may not be in the wifi settings at all... It may be in locations. When you go to settings > locations... Which mode is active? Also when you scroll down, do you see Google Location Reporting under Location Services? If that's active for any of your accounts, that may be what's doing it.

I've messed with location settings, I've even tried on a factory fresh phone. It's just a continuous stream of requesting my location, even when I manually enter it in.
I can make wifi calls though, I've confirmed that.

Wonder if their WiFi calling app is attempting to provide e911 location info? May not even be using Google location services--it may be accessing the GPS only and asking when it doesn't get a lock inside the building. You could test by finding a place where you have GPS line of sight but still have WiFi access and see if it stops complaining.

I actually tried that this morning.
Stepped into my backyard, had wifi and Location on. Set my settings to give Wifi Calling full location access. Gave it about 5min to establish a nice healthy connection. Checked my maps and GPS programs, they worked fine.
Wifi Calling still continued to CONSTANTLY ask me to confirm my location
