Wifi Calling stopped working and "LG IMS Has stopped working" error message

I have the LG V20 (H910) on AT&T and have been getting this message since i updated to oreo back in september. I was able to get rid of the message by disabling IMS in the secret menu, but that ends up disabling wifi calling. For a while that worked but i just moved into a new living space where the data is extremely spotty and now i need wifi calling to make and receive calls and texts now. I have been searching everywhere for 3 months for a fix and have yet to find one. The only other thing i could do is install a custom rom to rollback the software but my charging port isn't working(i've been using an external battery charger and replacing the batteries when needed) so i can't connect my phone to my pc. I really want to get more life out of this phone and want to know if anyone has had this problem and had any luck fixing it. Thanks.
