Wifi Calling

Hey all, I just got my Solar red and am LOVING IT. It's beautiful.

That being said, I made a call today using wifi calling (on t-mobile) and noticed some popping sounds coming through the earpiecE. I then did a series of test calls while having WIFI calling both on and off.

It seemed that with WIFI calling on it would make these noises, but with WIFI calling off, it wouldn't make any of these noises. Is this happening to anyone else? Should I get a replacement device?

I am using the wifi calling on Sprint and have not heard any static or distortion of any kind.

I did have to go back into the settings and update my profile and agree to the 911 section again. Everything else is working fine.

Yeah mine is working flawlessly on Sprint. Way better and more stable than on my M9....

Wi-Fi calling works great for me. I'm on T-Mobile as well.

This basically accounts to poor WiFi signal. Try to test in different WiFi network where the signal is strong.

I usually use the WIFI that is in the same room as me, it is a 5G network as well, could that be the issue? Should I try it on a regular network?

Yeah sorry, i am using a 5ghz band wifi. I can try the regular one, I believe thats a 2.4ghz band. Ill also do some experimenting to see if speakerphone has the same issue. When I first noticed it I asked my partner to test to see if My voice or anything coming from my end sounded weird but He said it sounded just fine.

I upgraded everything at my home including my router. I hated spending as much as I did on it but it was a great investment and works well everywhere in my multi story home

Which carrier are you using? You should be on either Sprint or T-Mobile.

So On the regular 2.4ghz network there seems to be no Noise generated during calls. It must be the 5ghz network connection i guess. One more question for you guys while I have your attention.

My charging brick seems to make a whining noise when it isn't charging my phone and it's plugged in. Is this something I should be worried about?
