"WiFi Connected" in Notification Panel

This is the first time I've used a Samsung phone in a while, and I've noticed that when I'm connected to WiFi I have a permanent notification saying, "WiFi Connected" in the notification panel. There's no way to dismiss it, and I can't seem to find a system setting to prevent the notification from appearing. Is this just how TouchWiz is, or am I missing a setting somewhere to turn it off?

Can you take a screenshot? I think this may be the wifi calling protocol?

I'm curious as well. I don't see why it needs to notify me that I'm connected when the WiFi quick tile already shows me. So annoying.

Go to settings, wifi, then hit more in upper right corner, then advanced. Uncheck 'wifi notifications' in this screen

Hm. My Verizon model is a little different. I have a box that says 'Notify when wifi is available or connected'.

It is there to tell you which network you are connected to. I don't know that there is any way to turn it off, but I find it useful when passing through sections of our building which has different WiFi connections available. Sometimes the phone will hang on to the weak connection and not switch to the strong signal in the current location so I flip WiFi on and off and it connects to the stronger signal.
