wifi connection problem after flashing rom

I have just flashed the rom on my a 13 tablet. Almost everything works OK but when I select wifi on the setting reverts back to off again after only 10 secs, not even enough time to find my router. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how to fix it?

EDIT: I have now found an alternative rom which has fixed the problem
