Wifi connection problems

My Alcatel one touch idol 3 has weak WiFi connection and many times it won't connect to wifi

More details please, it's hard to make any kind of guess without a better idea on the actual situation.
-- Is this happening at home, at work, or some public WiFi location?
-- ... and relative to the above, does it happen only in one location or with different WiFi networks?
-- How far away are you from the wireless router when you're having this problem?
-- Is this a long-standing issue or did it just start happening recently?
