I have a cable modem internet, linksys wireless router for my home network. My laptop and PS3 connect to this network and work properly with no issues. Up until last night, my Tablet was also working fine. However, now my Samsung Tab 4 will recognize and connect to the network, but it does not actually get an internet connection. I've tried powering everything down and restarting, restarting the tablet, emptying the cache on a number of apps, etc, nothing seems to work.
I haven't changed any settings, and as I said, other devices are working fine, so there has to be some issue with the tablet. However, I set up a separate network using my phone as a hotspot and the tablet connects to it and works just fine. So, there is some issue with the wireless network communicating and granting access to the internet to the tablet. Any ideas?
